    Hello all, well my pistols shrimp is molting today, he seems mostly done but is having some trouble getting out completly...he has been trying for like 3 hours and im not sure whats wrong, how long does it usually take to molt for pistol shrimp?

    I'm not sure how long a molt takes for ornamental shrimp. Most molts coincide with nocternl activity to avoid daylight predators. My cleaner shrimp and hermit crabs all molt at night so I've never seen the process.

    I would.nt worry as long as there are no predators in your tank.

    well he seems to be done...but i dont think his legs molted correctly, this is the second bad molt...is it because he is in too small of a cave? what should i do?
