    Welcome to 3reef, IAMALLIN!

There is no way I know of to get an anemone to affix itself in a tank. You'll have to be patient and wait for it to find a place it likes. When it does, it will take hold.

I agree. Give it time and it will settle in.

it hasnt eaten anything yet, i try feeding it silverslider but nothing. in the first couple of days it did find a place and the next thing you know it moved and now its behind a rock on its side and it looks like it has gotten smaller from the day i brought it home. i think i will just get rid of it this w/end and get something else. when the lta was trying to settle the maroon was moving all the sand around its foot that it exposed it again. I dont get it, I had the ca for months and no problems

A few months in not a very long record for anemones. They die very slowly from the inside without warning. They are also very hit and miss. You may have had luck with the first one you ever tried and it could be ten more away before you find one that works well in your system.

Have you felt it to see if it is squishy? Also check to be sure it still feels a bit sticky to the touch.

it still feels sticky to the touch, not sure what to do honestly it just lays on the side with no movement, especially since there isnt any water movement there. i try moving him and it still goes back there.

If it is still sticky I would give it more time. That is a very good sigh that it is doing well. Some just take longer to acclimate.
