okay so last saturday I got a 5-6in. LTA. He has great color, and ive been hand feeding him. I put him in a corner, halfway up in my 30g tank. He has stayed, but hasnt stuck his foot to anything..is this normal?? All water perimeters are spot on, and lighting is great.

You only put it in last sat. so I wouldn't worry too much about it at this point. As long as it's still looking healthy and eating then it should be fine, just give it some more time. Is there adequate flow where it's at?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !

He should have attached my now. Trying to place an anemone in a specific area of the tank is futile. They will find their ideal spot and trying to move them from that location can be very detrimental to them. Just make sure they are not near any powerheads or heaters.

If you could provide a picture that would be great. :)

well im not sure on how much flow is supposed to be on him, because every time i turn it up, he falls over and rolls around the tank. he has been a finiky eater, ive been feeding him a dime size store bought shrimp thawed in warm water from the tank. I put it in his mouth, but he kind of wont swallow it..

Sounds like an anemone in trouble.

I would not try to feed it until it attaches, I doubt it will eat.

Find the area of lowest flow in the tank, make a burrow or depression in the substrate, put some tiny pieces of rubble in there place the anemone in there ( since it is already floating around). Some have tried using a strawberry bastket placed over the anemone is the depression with success but I never have.

Good luck and keep a close eye on it, it can die quickly and foul the tank.

If at some point and time someone has ripped him off a rock instead of nudging him loose his foot could have permanent damage and might not ever be able to stick any where. I just dropped mine on the bottom of the tank and let him figure it out from there. Just some times have to rrearange other corals and stuff to suit him. and they do not need to be fed, light is their main source of nutrition. Watching em eat is cool though but feedin is not a must do thing. good luck.

My green buble moved around the tank for a month before he found the spot he likes. I have found that if you want an anemone in a certain spot, don't get them.. Maybe the food your giving him is too big, i just give mine brine shrimp with a turkey baster once a week and he is a happy camper!!
