Can someone tell me what is normal behavior for a long tentacled anenome, aka Sebea Anenome. Mine is moving all over the tank by "floating" and appears to enjoy laying on it's "side" most of the time. It also seems to shrink and swell alot. I bought it yesterday and took about an hour to acclimate it by floating the bag and slowly adding tank water to it. Ammmonia, Nitrates, Nitrites, and Phosphates are all 0, SG 1.023, Ph 8.2, Temp 79. Thanks for the input.

The LTA is basicly looking for the "sweet spot" and when it does, it will stay there. Thats normal, mine did the same thing. Just watch and see. Luna

I strongly recommend "anemone-proofing" any powerheads in the tank (if you have any).

You could wrap some fine mesh around the intake parts of the powerhead.

Are you running intense lighting on your tank? Anemones will do best under metal halide lighting!
Sebae anemones are not one of the easiest in terms of husbandry and ease of keeping and maintaining!!!!
Yes, as Luna stated ansd SSSnake, anemone proof you tank and they will move around often til they find the right place to attach its bassal foot. Hence, if you have corals or other types of anemones etc., you need to be very careful as anemones can injure or kill other forms of life if they make contact with neighboring animals. Nematocysts, spirocysts, cnidae and messenterial filaments can be all used to instigate warfare in a tank!
Have you done any research on anemones? I would strongly advice that you dosome reading on anemones to make your success, as well as that of your anemone a great and long lasting one!!!
    Best of luck!

Oh, a few other notes aside:
    1) (s)he(?) likes powerhead flow on the base, but not front
    2) took a small piece of squid after a few days
    3) likes being in sand
    4) seems more a "bubble tip" than LTA, at least when expelling
    5) G&dD$@n Tiger Cowrie is going to get a new home right quick!

The shrinking seems to mostly be a diurnal reflex, but could also be related to the fact that I feed the tank when I get home form work, near the "twilight" cycle.
