I appreciate everyones help but it's gone. I noticed it had split down the side late last night and there what appeared to be curds, curly white stuff, coming out of the split as it was the bottom of the foot. It also looked like white slime was sloughing off the foot and top. When I finally took him out of the tank the top edge was starting to turn translucent. Again, I appreciate everyones input.

Well doubtful that it is bleaching imho.. LFS's lighting is usually pretty inadequate and yours would definately not bleach it... he is right about the "break in" period.. usually the new water causes them to poop because they are getting rid of the water that's already inside of them and replacing it and so on.. this is one of those species that is VERY hardy so it's probably not your water or the water at the LFS.. they are however, very photosynthetic so higher in the tank or maybe consider getting a different species.. how's he doin higher in the tank?

He'll open up eventually.. try feeding it some mysis shrimp with a turkey baster or something similar... mix it with the salt water while it thaws and then squirt towards the mouth/anus in the middle of the body.

It was my first anenome but probably won't be my last. They are truly beautiful creatures. Since it's been brought up and not to be disgusting, but what does it look like when an anenome poops? The waste and the anenome?

In my humble opinion, your description sounds more like the anemone was damaged as opposed to a problem with lights, salinity or the environment. You don't have any starfish, do you?
