long time tanker new to forum

hi guys. i have a 145 gallon salt tank with a 30 gallon sump. i did have a 150 gallon tank for about ten years 5 were salt then 5 were fresh water but i just sold that one when i came across this 145 tank and went back to salt. i got to the tank all set up. i filled it up then put the sand and salt in then let it run for about a week or so. then added my rocks and coral then about 4 days later i put in a few fish and a eel and a clown fish. all was well till today when the clown fish started swimming weird and now is on his side. the tank looks clear and all the other fish are doing well. after reading from this forum i saw that i needed some things ive always over looked. water temp, better oxygenation, good filters and proper diet. some i have addressed and some have been ordered. nice to see the post here are great. some forums not so much. any tips would be appreciated. i hear clown fish are fragile is this true?

Basic chemistry like ammonia is needed. Clown fish like all fish are very sensitive during acclimation.

Did your tank fully cycle or did you add some type of bacteria to jump start it?

 

yes ^^^+1 my thoughts as well, did your tank fully cycle before the additions? I think clownfish are among the hardiest fish in this hobby.
