one of my cross braces came lose and the glass bowed a little. i drained some water and repaired the brace, but i'm worried it might happen again. i did some research on bracing. i found that the longitudinal brace should be 90% the length of the aquarium. i was wondering if this brace needs to be one continuous piece or can it be say three pieces that add up to the same length?
i have two short braces in already so i would just add another piece in between these? would this be less structurally sound? does this matter?

Ideally it should be one continuous piece. As you start adding more pieces, their individual strengths should go up. I would also recommend overlapping if you go with multiple pieces.

damn that was so simple. why didn't i think of that. thank u very much. k+
sometimes the solution is so simple. i just really couldn't fit one long piece but i can put the pieces together then run the continuous piece over them.
