Like people have said fish have their own personalities. One butterfly may devour your corals while another wants nothing to do with them. I don't have experience with them but I will be getting one soon so I do all the research I can. Copperband and longnose butterfly's are the hardest to get to start eating is what I've heard so with that said who's to say a hungry butterfly in ur tank that won't eat prepared foods won't go after ur corals for lunch

Iv heard the same thing about some butterflies scarfing down corals and another individual of the same species is a model citizen in a reef tank:p As far as eating, I agree, copperbands have been known to be very finicky, however longnose butterflies are one of ( if not the ) easiest/hardiest butterfly you could potentially add to a reef tank. Most accept prepared rations early :)

By the looks of my signature, yes it does sound overstocked. But all levels are at 0 and every fish gets along perfectly, in fact I can honestly say that I have not once seen a single fish show any sign of aggression, not to mention the fact that I aquascaped my tank to allow the largest amount of open swimming ( right side is occupied by most of my rock work, whereas the left side is almost completely open swimming space, with no rocks touching glass )

I believe you've been told multiple times on multiple threads that adding any more fish is NOT a wise thing to do. Maybe you are lucky and your fish dont fight, dont you want to keep it that way? adding tangs and angels and butterflies and blennies arent going to exactly promote the peace. IMO

I don't plan on adding all of these fish to my tank, it would be more along the lines of butterfly+flame angel or flame angel + cherub angel etc. There's no way I would add this many fish to my tank, and I didn't simply get " lucky " I feed the appropriate amount of food and designed my tank uniquely for the purpose of allowing open swimming space.

Also, Iv seen many gorgeous healthy tanks, sometimes smaller than mine, thriving and beautiful with more fish than I currently have. I believe it is an assumption and I do thank you for the heads up

What they were stating wasnt an assumption....you obviously havent been in this hobby long enough to learn about bio-load of a tank. Please heed our advice and slow down. You probably dont have any fights yet because your fish are still young...you dont see many fist fights in a nursery...its when they get to be teen agers that they get angry at lack of space. If you add an angel, butterfly or any combination, you are asking for trouble and for your "happy" family to be destroyed, especially because the fish you have listed on multiple threads (excluding the blenny) are ich magnets...your asking for a tank crash in not heeding people's advice. You are ultimately going to do what you want (thats obvious) but it seems like you asking for advice but only wanting to hear what favors your thoughts.... Please do more research before you crash your tank and leave the hobby...ive seen it happen to so many people...

Alright, I understand where you are coming from with the bioload issue ( however all my levels are at 0 ) and I realize I'm not going to be adding any new fish to my tank for a while. Actually most of my fish are adults or at least almost full grown ( excluding clowns and tang ). I was mainly asking about the tangs etc. out of curiosity, I didn't have too strong an intention of buying one, and have now decided to stay away from them completely for now ( besides my tomini ). I will be adding a flame angel and blenny without a doubt, and truly believe they will thrive in my system. But I do thank you and others for looking out for my best interest

Once again, everyone is going to advice against that. Please re-read your threads, you really shouldnt add more fish.

I agree. On the bright side it's an excuse to upgrade;)
