    Hey everyone!

So i'm thinking of getting a longnose hawkfish, since it has been one of my favorite fish for a long time, and finally my local fish store managed to get some. However, the store warned me, that they have eaten some of their Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimps, and then i got really sad because i got a Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp myself, and i love him :( But he is rather big, so i dont think that the longnose hawkfish will eat him. Do you guys know which they eat, and what they dont eat? Would really like some advice!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
They will eat ornamental shrimp, it may not happen for awhile, or the fish may never go after the shrimp. You have to decide if it's worth the risk.

    Per Liveaquaria:
Although it eats small fish and shrimp, it makes an excellent reef inhabitant under the proper conditions.

Looks hit and miss to me. I had a Flame Hawk that never touched my shrimp.

As Coralline mentioned, cleaners and preds is a "ya never know" kind of thing. Sometimes, they're recognized as cleaners, and get a "pass", sometimes not. Sometimes, it will seem fine for awhile, then <boom>.

As she also mentioned, risk tolerance is the key here...how much risk can you live with?
