hey all...I purchased a "toy" 9.99, Vivitar microscope at CVS LOL (but hey it works!), the other day. I'm looking at some algae I scraped off one of my rocks. It looks like cyano. They are chains. Does anyone have pics of different algae's under a microscope that I could compare them to? I've searched and came up with very little. I'm also going to scrape off some coralline to look at...

    TIA!

Hey! Check this one out! We useit for our students, when they are doing microbiology courses! Specify the latin name of the family your algae belongs to and search :D
    Enjoy :D

Hey! The way one normally works in the lab is to make a guess, translate common name into the latin equivalent and use this one to search for images. The trick is there are millions of images taken, however they are referenced using proper - latin names!
