well I am looking into investing in an controller so I am not sure if I could got with the aquacontroller 3 or the pro.

I am going to be "this fall" setting up a 150gal display so I know I want the controller to help regulate the tank.
next I am looking into a phos reactor for the 80gal temp that I have up and running now so any advice on what to get and how to setup?

Also any good test kits out there or just invest in the probes for the controller?

Still a little confused on a calc reactor vs a kawlss? reactor? I am going to be doing a reef tank so I know I need to do a hell of alot of reeding on water parameters but any good suggestions on those reactors.

Skimmer I am looking at a bullet 2 or a aquaC both are good but who knows.

Also whats the deal with ozone? good? bad? ugly?

still making lists so any other suggestions would be great. I have the lighting down already.

    Thanks for the help guys!
    Matt

For those who are following my other thread, so far so good on the clown. turned out to be a temp issue.

I only have a fish bowl. I don't have any fancy tank and pond thingies. I can't even afford a filter. My 2 goldfish were only 28 cents each.

I would have all actual pour and compare test kits before i would invest in controller and probes. That way, you can check if its accurate, and also in case something goes array, such as power loss :)

ACIII for that size tank. The Pro is way above what you need. It will run just about anything you want...chiller, fans, Ca reactor, Ozone, lights and you will be able to change things over the net with IP address.

I run a PO4 reactor 24/7 whether I have a problem with it or not.

If you have the budget and your going to make this a reef tank then a Ca reactor is a must. It is a lot better then dosing all the time. Once you set it up it runs on it's own. I also run Kalk for my makeup water because my Ca reactor can't keep the Ca where I want it with a tank of my size.

I would go with the Bullet 2 as I run a Bullet 3 and love what it has done for the water clarity of the tank.

Wouldn't worry about if you need Ozone or not until the tank gets a little older. You should be able to keep your ORP high on a new tank. The ACIII will give you those reading.

Hey we all start somewhere. Consider yourself lucky :) At least its not costing you 200 dollars everytime you got to the fish store :)
