The University of Washington is a great school, always ranked in the "best of" lists for academics. And of course, being on the water, there's a great marine biology school. Marine Biology Program—Homepage And as far as really good academic universities go, UW is pretty cheap.

Plus, the campus is gorgeous and Seattle is a fun city!

So buy a round trip ticket for $1200, one way tickets are alway higher priced because they don't guarantee you flying a second time. I think immigration control will require the round trip ticket also before issuing the student visa.

Wow that made a big difference. Just 1400 for round trip. Get to AU in Jul, back to the US in May.

    Bringing this one back out...

I am looking at University of Hawaii at Manoa. They have a large research facility for marine biology. It is part of the U.S.(obviously), & Tuition to undergraduate students who are non residents is just $21,540/year.

    What do you all think?

I wish i could rep my own college... but the best they can do for you is a minor in marine bio, or ship you off for a semester abroad to like Cambridge or something for a bachelors in marine bio :(

Thanks for trying to help, Dingo.

I'm actually looking forward to going to college put of state. As long as I & Dad can breathe with tuition costs. :) lol.
