    Doesn't mean much for any lighting when you really get into the numbers. I've tested halides where a 14k 150 watt put out as much PAR as a 20k 250 watt. Watts is a terribly outdated term.

    I believe so. I haven't heard that directly, but to get them to spread enough while mounted lengthwise, they must have changed to the optics some.
