Vinny, I know this is off the subject, but since your on here and your the undisputed "Tang Master" :), what can you tell me about the Powder Brown that's not on LA. I think it's a beautiful fish and thinking about making it kind of the centerpiece for my 180.

Beautiful fish. Unfortunately, mine died of ich. No other fish caught it, they are ick magnets

This is an old picture....but every once in awhile I will thin the heard...I made this trap...PVC with rubber end caps...drilled holes in it..fishing line to pull it out....use frozen food wrapped in a panty hose inside...drop it in near infested area...they cant get in it quick enough..8)

The trap with the pantyhose idea works really well, altho it's kinda weird when a dude goes into a store to buy a pair of pantyhose :D

    Arrow crabs also work wonders.

Yes Anemone is quite correct Tangs are more susceptible to the Ich parasite because they have very small scales which are easier for the Ich to attack. I successfully kept a Powder Blue for 5 years and one day he just up and died. The key with them is not to put any other Tangs in the tank and no aggresive tankmates. Also no overcrowding. That is the only way I have seen people keep them successfully but they are risky.IME Bristletooth Tangs are the hardiest. While they may not seem as pretty in the LFS most Tangs will color up nicely once established in your system. I never really gave Tomini's a second look but I now have two one in my frag tank and one in my DT and I just love them. Here's a couple more that are really stunning in person.

Just to answer your q, it is rudarius ercodes(white spotted) pygmy file fish. I was sold it as aiptasia eating type but instead it wiped out my bristleworms. My file fish has never touched any of my lps. I have tons of chalices, torches, hammers etc. He's always got bristles sticking out of his mouth and I've watched him go down and pull them out of rocks and eat them.
