I got a timer for my lights, one where you pull up little plastic nobs around a timer and it never worked. Im thinking its because im special. So I am looking for a new timer for my lights I would like to put my atincs, whites and the light for my refug on it. So I think I am looking for a digital timer and wondering if you guys know of any good and easy(which is the big deal) timers?

As well looking for a atomated fish feeder that you guys have found to be good.

    Thank you kindly.

The Coralife timers are desent, but can not handle MH's, so if you have PC's, VHO or HO bulbs, you should be fine. I went through 6-7 Coralife timer(all 3 of them) until I got rid of it and bought myself a controller like this one........[IMG]

These controllers are AWESOME, I should have bought ones many yrs ago. Good luck hunting. Luna

Coralife is what I just got for my PC's It works perfect. Directions are easy to follow and seems to be doing the job fine. I got the dual timer not the digital one though. They make two different models.

I had the digital one. I actually went through 3 of them. They ALL would reset to default randomly every 3-5 days. Asked around here and I was not the only one to experience that problem.

I would advise against the digital model at least.

I now use the timers built into my SunDial lights and they work perfect.

I have MH, and blew up just about every timer you can think of :( What I did is I went to the hardware store and got a heavy duty digital timer that is designed for sprinkler systems. Works GREAT!!! And relatively cheap. I wanna say like 30 bucks or so.

I use corallife timer the rotery style one and works great only have 1 halide pluged into it. Plus use digital timer from lowes to control other lights. Both work good.

I use HD outdoor timers (3 prong), and all my equipment is hooked up to a GFCI. I got the timers on sale for 6.99 each at the hardware store.

I went through all 3 different styles of Coralife timers and they dont work with MH's. I even spoke to a Coralife rep. and he told me that the only timer that will handle the draw of MH's, was the digital one. So I bought one, it lasted only a month. Luna

My 260W PCF light blew up my digital timer, piece of junk. I don't even want to know what would happen to it if I connected my MH to it; probably burn my tank down to the ground.
