I am trying to find a good online vendor that i can price out items to make sure i don't get raked over the coals at the local shops. Any one have any good suggestions?

Take into consideration shipping costs and the ability to physically see the specimen as well.

For dry goods I'd really recommend Premium Aquatics. If you order before 3pm, it always ships out same day, and shipping cost is only $9, unless you spend $175 then its free. For fish or coral, they don't update the website enough to know what they have on stock, and they don't list even a fraction of the corals they have in stock on their website. For coral or fish from them, best bet is walk in if you live in Indiana.

But they have really good prices, and if you find anything cheaper elsewhere, they will price match with no problems. I got my 72" Current Nova extreme lights from them, and Big Al's had it on sale for about $60 cheaper, and they matched the price no problem

I haven't ordered any livestock online yet, but when I do my first online purchase will most likely be from liveaquaria.com. For dry goods, I have ordered from Marine Depot, Drs Foster & Smith (Live Aquaria is also theirs), dry rock from Reef Cleaners, and Bulk Reef Supply. I have not had a bad experience with any of them. As far as customer service go, I had a problem with an order from Marine Depot, it was damaged by the shipping company, and they were absolutely amazing with how they handled it.
