    Good one.

Very nice pumps. As quiet as they come. Not sure if the GPH matches though.

The Maxi-Jet 1200 is rated at 295 gph and Eheim 1250 is rated at 317 gph. Will this work?

    Thanks

I got the replacement Maxi-Jet 1200 from Aquacave today and it sounds just as loud. Is this humming noise typical of all submersible pumps? Isnt the constant hum bad for fish?

I found out that I need a new skimmer because there is a small leak from the elbow joint on the intake of the skimmer. Albert at Aquacave sent a new skimmer as well as a new Maxi-Jet pump. I noticed that there is a considerable difference in performance between the two skimmers using the same pump. Skimmer “A” the collection cup needs to be all the way up because it produces so much foam. Skimmer “B” the collection cup sits all the way down and collects no foam. Which skimmer is working properly? Thanks in advance.

It need to break in! give it a week before you start to see some skimmate! My skimmer sat empty for a month, and then, BAM, skimmate galore!
