    i would like to develop my knowledge on dosing in saltwater aquaria but for some reason I feel it is going to be an overwhelming amount of information.

    anyone have any good articles to start reading on?

    clearly the base of this adventure comes with water tests and actually seeing if my weekly water changes are not enough to keep "sps standards"

    The main things with SPS are calcium, magnesium and alkalinity. Dose those three and most SPS will be exceedingly happy with you. Montis need iodine, if you want to keep them. I haven't found an iodine test I like so keeping that in line is a pain. With iodine they grow out of control. As such I'm not buying any more.

    This video helped me understand why to dose and what they do. Sometimes it takes a really simple explanation with bouncy balls to get the point across to me. Was I a dog in previous life?

    It was more about all the different things people dose than the quality of what they were writing about. And, to be honest, it was one of the first links I found on Google after not finding a list type thread here on 3reefs. Fail on my part on that one.
