While you may see Chromis "school" at your LFS it is usually from stress. While they may swim together for a short time they lose the desire to in most sytems because the need for protection disapears.Which is why they school in the first place.Typically (EXCEPT IN LARGE SCHOOLS AND SYSTEMS) they get grumpy and begin to pick the weaker one's off one at a time until you are left with one or two_On the reef it is probably much harder for fish to be singled out in this manner.

If their where to be a second group would that provoque a responce , i mean make them "school" longer? Each school bassically watching each other out, sort of a cold war effect.

Ya i was thinking the same
Longspine Cardinalfish (Zoramia leptacantha) ,sivery shimmering, or blueish a few of them would help the chromis stay in formation. 7 cardinal againts 5 chromis or something like that. With the tang and a wrasse or athias thats basically it.
