    I think I messed up...:-X

but come to find out, now that I'm doing the research. The strip I purchased wont be adequate.

If someone can chime in and say for fact these wont work it'd be greatly appreciated. I'm going to start with a FOWLR setup but the plan is to transition to a reef setup.

So can I get away with this light strip currently then before I transition to the reef setup purchase an adequate lighting system.

    I have a 90g 48Lx18Wx24H

They will work fine for a FOWLER set up but not for any type of coral

Eggs sorry :( you will definitely need a better fixture. I had one of these on a marine land system I had a year ago and that was freshwater. The blue leds run independant from the white so you won't be able to have them both on at the same time. Is there any way of cancelling the order? If you can I would recommend that you do that. This way you save yourself the additional expense later.

When perusing a LFS I came across this unit, and seeing that it was the only LED i found in my area at such a low cost I jumped on it not thinking... After reading countless posts and articles what I am going to do is buy a light fixture capable of providing the light I need for corels (when I get there) and run both on timers one for day light and then use the marineland "blues" for moonlight. So it's not a total loss i guess.

it's only money right... can't take it with us when we're 6' under...

That is so true;D. We need to enjoy while we can. The moonlight (blue) will look cool 8) on the tank and your corals.
