Hey everyone I just picked a volcano bubbler decoration for my 75 gallon tank. I'm looking to get an air pump for it(btw sorry if this is the wrong section) and can't decide between a Rena or a Whisper UL listed air pump. Which is better? Also, if I am only going to be running the pump to just one decoration do I need to really get a big one like the whisper 100 or Rena 300, or can I settle for a smaller one like the whisper 20? Thanks!:)

The whisper looks real nice, and if their new design is as reliable as their old one, I'd recommend it. (I still have one I bought over 15 years ago).

As for size, the Whisper pumps are rated by tank size-- i.e., the 40 is for a 40g tank. Buying one that matches your tank size ensures that you can pump air to the bottom of the tank and still have enough pressure to operate your device efficiently.

    BTW, that's a cool looking deco! :)

I have heard a lot of good things about the whisper series, but the particular model I would be getting, the whisper 100 NON UL got poor reviews on Amazon. I can't really find any reviews for the whisper 100 UL design-it must be new. Oh, and thanks I couldn't resist it was only $17 at my local petsmart on clearance!:)
