    i Everyone,

I will have a chance going to a wholesale warehouse to shop next week. Last time I go there visit, find out pretty much around 1/3 of the local fish store price for everything. I am looking for suggestion to fully loaded my 60 gallon + 20 gallon sump at once since I don't have many chance to go there.

I have my tank and my sump picture uploaded. Looking for advice for what should I buy this time. I understand there is a risk of introducing all the live stock all at once but I am prepare for that since the price is so cheap.

    Lighting
    2 Maxspec 160 G2

following is my current stock list.

    Invert & fish:
    2 clowns (small)
    1 blue tang (small)
    around 8 hermit crab
    1 turbo snail
    1 clam (small)
    1 electric scallop
    3 feather duster
    1 starfish

    Coral:
    bubble
    3 heads candy cane (small)
    3 heads frogspawn (small)
    open brain (mid size)
    plate coral (mid size)
    sun polyps (around 10 heads)
    yellow sun polyps (2 heads)
green star polyps (mid size at different area)
    pom pom xenia (small)
    toadstool leather (very tiny)
different Zoanthids (around 20 heads in total)

My sump tank is loaded with plants:
15 red mangroves (roots come out, growing from seeds)
    3 black mangroves (still small)
    Chaeto (big and a lot)
    Caulerpa (small but growing quick)

I also have a protein skimmer but not using it at this moment since my friend told me is nothing to clean. coz I only have 3 fishes in the tank is too low in terms of bio load.

    Following are my questions:

with a size of a 60 gallon tank and 20 gallon sump. How many fish I could get while still safe?

any corals I should have? i still consider me as a beginner, some hardly corals please.

as you guys can see from the tank photo, my tank is pretty empty, am I allow to get a lot of corals to fill those? any limitation?

p.s. a Blenny and a pair of Firefish are pretty much for sure. I would like to know what other fish I could get together and keep all the tankmate safe and happy.

    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to 3reef

I would say add no more than a reef safe wrasse to your stock list along with the firefish and blenny. You could get any of the fairy wrasses, flasher wrasses, Halichoeres species or a sixline wrasse.

Fire up the skimmer before you add the new fish and get it broken in so it can help with the bio-load increase.

I will tell you now most everyone, me included, will frown on your statement of you are willing to risk fishes lives because their price is cheap.

As for coral Acans, torch coral, hammer coral, favias and more like what you have would be good.

+1 adding that amount of fish just because they are cheap will more then likely only cause problems, and your skimmer should have been on a few weeks ago in order for it to break in. Could you maybe make 2 or 3 trips to this place so you are not increasing your bioload a huge amount?

    Thanks for the advice.

I just put my skimmer back on after reading your post. tell the truth, the place I am going to is not a local fish store, my friend's cousin is a owner of the wholesale place, retail customer are not welcome. However, I will take you guys advice about fish, maybe 2 at the same time the max.

What about corals? any limitation all at once?

Be careful about buying a blue tang for a 60 gal. They get VERY big. I have one that is 10 to 11 inches in length. Good luck with your new adds!

Thanks for the advice about blue tang. At this moment, he is only 1.5inch -2 inch. I am trying to do research on building a sun room with consistent temperature in my backyard. And it should become available later on this year

If it did happen, a huge tank inside it is a must. So, he will have a new house by then. And I will focus on power saving, using solar energy and natural sun light.

Thats for sure, this is my big project this year. But my wife is going to share half of it :(

I kinda miss the 60gallons tank build step by step.

+1 on the Fairy and Flasher Wrasses aswell as all the corals 2in10 stated. Theres not too much of a limitation on how much coral IMO, just need the room.

Im a sucker for Anemones, with your clowns not having one...why not...lol I would also go for some Black Sun Coral if they have it lol....
Other than that, might try some hardy sps if you think your tank is ready, Birdsnest for instance.

My Clowns don't like anemones (I tried different anemones). Forum people told me since they are tank raise and they like flower pot. Got one from a 99 cents store, and they love it :p

I don't think the wholesales place will have the black sun coral as I remember. They have a lot of common corals only.

However, I did find one of my LFS has those... doesnt come cheap.
