Today I ordered the BRS 2 part dosing system for Alk, Ca, and Mg.

This is a pretty new tank, only about 6 weeks old, It's cycled and only Nitrates are a bit high at 1.5 ppm, Nitrites at 0, Phosphates at .02, Ammonia at 0.

Bio load is very low, three chromis and a heavy CuC. I ordered two clown fish that should be arriving on Thursday and will be QT for a month before introducing them to the tank.

My pH has been consistently low, around 7.9 or so for the past two weeks, never above 8, and Ca is a bit low, at 420. I plan on putting corals in the next month or so, but want to ensure that the system is stable and consistent before introducing any corals to the system.

I know I need to get pH up as well as Ca. What is going to be the best strategy for accomplishing this. What drip rate should I be using for my Alk and Ca to make the change gradual without effecting the livestock in the tank? The dosing pump is a 1.1 ml/min pump.

What is the best way to hook this up to my RKE? I purchased an additional PC4 to controll both the dosing pumps as well as a new ATO system I also purchased.

My suggestion is to not dose at all until you need it. With just water changes, you will be able to keep up with the demand of quite a few frags. Just keep doing weekly testing to find out your demand and then you will know when it is time to dose.

Ca 420 is perfect! NOT LOW- IMHEO

Sorry, but I forgot the size of your tank and sump, etc.

Sounds like you are going about things wit ha sound plan- the QT tank and all.
(for me, while I do always QT my new fish now, they never make it a month in the QT- always go it the DT before that. BUT- your plan is the more correct way- not my method)

Agree with Marshal- WC's should keep up for quite a while, no dosing should be needed until you get lots of stuff in there using the the big three up.
Use some kine of good ATO system so that your SG stays fairly constant.
