Get 2 ATI Aquablue Special. If you really want them to grow replace one of the Aquablues with a GE 6500K.

im so torn from what to get. I wish I had money to buy several bulbs to try out but I dont:(
I am concerned with the look of my tank yet concerned with whats best for corals. So many combos running in my head. Only forsure thing is the 2 blue plus bulbs.

    was thinking
    Blue +
Fiji Purp or giesmann pink or other atinic bulb
    Blue +
    ATI Aquablue

    or
    Blue +
Some sort of daylight bulb best for coral growth
    Blue +
    Aquablue

    or
    blue +
    Blue +
    midday bulb
    blue +

The more blue your bulbs the slower your growth rate in general. If you want high growth rate go for 4 ATI Aquablue specials in the fixture. Won't be very blue but your growth will be awesome.

What two bulbs will you not be replacing? Can't really help you without knowing this.

If you want good growth and color go with the second selection with a GE6500K for you daylight bulb. Placement front to back to get the most blue look.
    Blue+
    Aquablue
    GE
    Blue+

The 3000K will brown out your corals with that few bulbs.

Question about the GE6500K: won't that bulb lead to increased algae growth as well? Or is this negligible compared to the increased coral growth?

Not in my experience. Excessive nutrients is resposible for algae growth. The color temperature of midday sun in the tropics is 5100K.
