The light it comes with the bulbs go out to much and the hood makes it to hot and not enough lighting so i was wondering if anyone knows a good light led, t5, or metal halides for pretty cheap maybe on ebay or something that would still give me a good upgrade thanks

I like my Taotronics LED system, However It would be far to much light for your tank, You could always try some Boost LED fixtures

Are you okay with DIY or do you want to ditch the hood and slap on a different light?

Probably ditch the hood to many heat issues

Okay, I was going to say check out RapidLed. I personally have their kit and my tank stays between 77.6-78.2.

Personally they're cheap! You will be getting what you pay for :( What size is your biocube?
