I had a guy in Hackensack that ran a huge coral farm in the basement of a warehouse. His prices were great and he was so much better than a LFS. He closed up and moved to PA about a year ago and I been looking for a new place. Anybody know of any?

Support the LFS! Without them, there would be no hobby as we know it!

Hey its not easy to support LFS when you get screwed! Im in central/norther jersey and a LFS with a great rep has sold me way overpriced LED's (i was new to the hobby and didn't research enough i guess) their special tank was actually sick corals and I was just dumb and new.

For cheap frags I go to Absolutley fish and thats the only thing I get from them their fish are way too much, Pet Shanty on Rt 22 in springfield has better pricing on fish and Ocean Gallery about an hour drive or more from you also on rt 22 has decent prices on LED's and supplies! just some FYI

Yeah but corals are hella expensive -- I would rather pay shipping then over pay for each coral. $40 - $50 shipping seems expensive but if you use combined shipping or order enough to get free shipping it is insane to over pay (like double in most cases) per piece just to support a LFS.

I buy most of my stuff from Reef Encounters now but i am sure there has to be a few people around running coral farms for online sales.
It sickens me when I think about absolute fish, there prices are so insane that I wont even go there.
I did find a great new place in Manhatten on 36th street. Prices arent bad and they have a GREAT selection of fish frags and inverts. Just sucks parking

reef encounters? never heard of it. I wish i knew of more stores in NJ I like to price shop everyone sells something cheaper then the next. Underwater is this little whole in the wall on westfield ave in roselle I got my flatworms from them! I went a couple of times as an emergency to get some RO and the last time i noticed this small tank in the back that was taken over by flatworms....
