Hi all. I've got a 75gal tank that I'm lighting with a current USA fixture. The light has 2*150 MH's and 2 pairs of T5's, one 420nm and one 450nm in each pair. It's also got blue and white LEDs.
I've been using this for the last 6 months as follows: blue LEDs on at all times, white LEDs on for 30 min before big lights on and 30 min after big lights off. T5's on for 12 hours. MH on 3 hrs after T5's come on, then off 1 hour before T5's go off, for total MH time on of 8 hours.

I've had some slow growth of zoanthids and a favites brain, but really not alot. I'm wondering if I'm not using enough light. I recently added some sps frags and a 4-5" finger leather, and want to help them grow.

    Other tank param's: amm & nitrates are 0, dKH=9, ca=450, mg=1470, pH=8.3, spg 1.024. I use oceanic salt, ro/di, sump, asm g1 skimmer, fuge c chaeto.

Does anyone have good rec's regarding the use of this light fixture, and maybe about placement of the corals? Thanks in advance!

Everything seems perfectly fine!! The only thing I would do different is have the T5's on 2 hours then have the MH fire up then once they turn off have the T5's on for 2 hours then off. So instead of having them on for 3 hours before it'll be 2 hours. and instead of 1 hour after, it'll be another 2 hours.

    Good Luck!!

I have the sunpod without the actinics on my 46. I would have got the sunpod with the 250's on your size tank. At this point except for getting another fixture there is not much more you can do except add more hour for the MH. If you can rearrange the rock work to get corals up higher. I do 11 hours on my sunpod. Good Luck
