Ok so I recently went back to my 56g tank -- running PC lighting: 1x 96w 10k and 1x 96w actinic 420/460 nm. corals are mostly softies/lps. They have been doing well since the move off of T5 lighting (previous tank) but I'm looking for added supplemental lighting along with adding some of that nice shimmer.

I plan on keeping the PC's in place and adding a few LED strips across the length of the tank.

Current idea for canopy layout looks like this:

    Front: Blue LED strip
    10k PC
    Blue/white LED strip
    actinic PC
    Back: Blue LED strip

I've been trying to find LED strips that will not only create shimmer but also (more impotently) aid in coral growth and to get the coral color to "pop".

Any suggestions on brands that carry the LED strips I'm looking for would be amazing. Not trying to DIY and budget is somewhat liberal.
    :)

What about the DIY Cree LED build from NIght-Rida?

You definitely don't want the Current USA PowerBrite LED , I have two and don't use them. They act like a concentrated spot light, unless you like that look. To get the light to spread and look natural they must be placed about 1 1/2-2 feet above the water. I have the Ecoxotic Modules and am real happy with them. I would suggest however you using 2 Blue and Whites instead of 2 Blues. The modules are not linkable so you will have 3 separate plugs and they must be on a timer as there isn't any on/off switch. They need to improve on this. They are nice but just be aware.
