Glad i looked at this found the 120 dollar spectra gonna get it!!! Maybe not the place but could some one fill me in a little more about the rodi units. Maybe a pm or even on here so others can pick up the knowledge. Can I hook it up then unhook it after i get the water I need or does it need be a permanent fixture? (Was hoping to use the shower head and attach it there, is that even possible?) All I know about rodi is the idea of why to use it and how it works. Any help would be appreciated

Not sure about the shower head but faucet adapters are $10-$15 either through a RO vendor or at places like Lowes and HD.
The faucet adapter such as pictured at the bottom of the page here:
    PLUMBING ACCESSORIES FOR RO
snaps on and off so it does not have to be permanent.

At the top of the page here:
    SpectraPure Water Purification Products
you will find much information on RO/DI systems including Manuals for each of their systems and pieces of equipment, FAQ on everything RO/DI related and under Tech Support they have lots of hook up diagrams. They also have an Education section with more RO/DI related answers.

well i got everything working, after doing some plumbing all 3 days of my new years vacation installing abs and copper piping and running the tubes. The unit from BRS (bulkreefsupply) works great, ill be changing to spectrapure filters when the filters need changing.

Now i just need a container reservoir for the saltwater, I need a minimum 55G to 75G max, anyone have any ideas what to use?? right now since i was in a hurry im using a 44G Brute trashcan, but i really need the the extra 10G, so i need a 55G minimum. Anyone have any ideas for a good one for a good price? so far im looking at Rain Barrel - 75 Gallon - Green

US Plastics has some nice storage containers but not cheap. I like that you can get one in almost any size or shape though to fit in a particular spot if you need that option.

Well, after a lot of reading, I just ordered the maxpure mpdi that azdesertrat recommended in another post. Even at 50% efficiency it should provide all the water I need for now.
