Looking for some suggestions about protein skimmers. Have 10 yr old,, 125 gal, deep sand , coral and fish tank, think bio load is starting to build up, still have my old Berlin skimmer from day one. Don't think it's working as efficient as it should, Any thoughts thanks

Coral life super skimmer 220. Best bang for the buck. If you have the cash the EV180 would RULE.......my simple dream skimmer.

OOOO boy, theres a whole list of skimmers if you dont have a budget. Ill definitely look at the aquac ev180. Octopuss is very good too(specially if you mod) but they are really big, Bubble king are good, but big, Deltec are awesome!!!!

How mush dissolution has occurred with in the sand in the last few yrs that would give an indicator as to the amount of DOC you are dealing with to ask the skimmer to do. One size does not fit all when it comes to skimmers on some older tank's. At 10 yrs it may be more then you can ask from a skimmer. OTS may well be the issue ?
What skimmer have you been running ?

Don't me to imply $ don't matter, just that protein skimming is so important you need to get the best you can afford. My skimmer is the only filtration I have used since I started. Thanks for the suggestions.
