So i have been doing a little research on these guys, and saw that some say that its reef safe and some not, do they need to be fed? or do they do this because them being mad or stressed? And also, would they be compatible with a pistol shrimp? and other inverts(Hermits, and nerite snails and other snails.)

pistol shrimp and CBS? probably would fight. Mine was reef safe; most are, and i've never heard of one that wasnt. they wouldnt bother hermits. Just remember that you cant really get any other shrimp if you have a CBS. most are aggressive towards other cleaner shrimp, and on rare occasions they live peacefully but i wouldnt count on it

Okay..I havnt seen my pistol in a while, but im confident that he is still alive, i see some holes in the back of the tank that are his im pretty sure(molting). But I may get one for the other tank, what do they do exactly? eat anything? or are they just fun to watch?

well first of all be sure it gets some food because mine tried to catch my 3" ocellaris clown once. They're nocturnal so they usually come out at night, but then again depends on the personality. Mine actually did clean my algae blenny on 2 occasions; really interesting to watch.

usually depends on tank size a lot with shrimp too. Its not like fish where they want the whole area to themselves if they are bullies. My CBS just hangs out at the back and comes out at night. I have two peppermints that have been in there for a few months and never saw any problem. They actually get around more than he does, and hang out together and apart randomly. The CBS does keep to himself though. My 92G corner has a decent amount of ground real estate and plenty of rock too so that might help.

i have a pair in my tank and they do fine. they just keep to themselves in the left back corner. i drop in a small piece of fish every now and then(once or twice a month) and they will be happy. i have never had one catch a fish i have seen a drastically ailed attempt by a larger one in my old 55 gallon trying to catch one of my damsels, but they are so slow it would most likely not happen. and i would not put it in with another invert unless it was a huge tank and i know yours isnt. but i find them quite nice little shrimp. contrary to popular belief i find them nice
