    The OP is referring to front-to-back "depth", as in "depth of field". It's one of those words that altho correct, can be confusing (don'tcha love the English language?).

    FWIW, I've also heard peeps referring to length as width, since when looking at the tank, one's mind tends to think of "how wide a space on the wall does it need"?
