looking to replace mh bulbs

    i am currently running 3 250 watt 14k's on my 120 gallon dt and looking to replace them..looking for a bulb with good life and crisp white with a tint of blue ...i am currently not running any actnics supplimentaly lighting..not sure if i need to either?...thanks for the advice in advance

    It's, both, tough and expensive to find the right bulb/combination. I just sampled the sps blue life 20k and xm 20k. They both look like what I would expect a nice 14k to look like.

    Been running 20k radiums (DE) on two of my tanks for a while, love em 8).

    Going to be a tough call on what works best for ya however, I have the same bulb on two different types of ballasts, and there is a noticable color difference.

    im running 3 giesemann nova 2's and giesemann ballasts...went with sps 14k's we'll see what they look like
