You are correct. NeighborTomita, we do not claim this unit is locally made or assembled but we do spec our own requirements and have it tweaked to what we want. Lots of fixtures can have similar look, form factor, etc...but it does not mean they use the same components, wired the same way, etc. It's also that getting it manufactured overseas allows us to make it affordable for the consumer market here. We are constantly making changes as the market and demands shifts. It may also be helpful to know that all ILLUMINARIUM products come with a full year of warranty.
