yea in my tanks 6 months *just turned* i have never had a hitchhiker until now, and now im freaking out

 

I think I agree.

You could try disturbing the "bug" thing and see if it retracts into a tube.

The sponge I believe is a type of scypha sponge, cool little things, definitely harmless filter feeder.

 

i think you guys are lookig at the green tube next to the brown bug on the right, does look like one but the one that im talking about is on the left, first pic right above the black and white cerith, and the rest the big brown creepy thing

and thanks for the sponge info, im just not used to seeing sponges like that, thought may have been something else

 

The thing above the cerith, in the 1st picture looks like a feather duster worm of some sort. the tubes sorta match it IMO. Like the said poke it, see if it retracts.. etc

 

im hoping all of you are right, im afraid to poke it just because of how it looks like a creepy bug. i'll be happy though if it is a tube worm, and feel stupid for freaking out at it

it is a feather duster and the other is a sponge similiar to the pinapple sponge.

 

I agree. That is a pineapple sponge. The duster looks like a soft tubed duster to me.

 

look at the bottom right of my tank. I have the same colored duster too. Only mine is bigger.
