    I have something on my rock that looks like a white cotton ball. it has been there since i got it and i was wondering if it was some kind of sea sponge or not. I have no clue so i'm asking if anyone here knows what it is? Thanks in advance for the help.

    sounds like a sponge. look under your other rocks and see if there are more. can you get a pic of it to make a definite ID?

    cameras not good enough to zoom in that far... its only about a half inch right now i cant even make out my hermits if i zoom in with the camera...i suppose its about time to invest in a better one lol

    Scypha sponge (pineapple sponge)... usually very bally looking sponges.
