    Thanks. I will let it grow. Lighting is not there. I have 1 50/50 T12 and 2 standard aquarium 18" T5. I did see it eat something today. It looked very interesting. It folded all the tentacles up. That is when I noticed it had two layers of them. The base looks pointed where it attaches to the rock. About the bubble algae, how do you remove it?

    do you have a clean up crew???? emerald crabs love it if your tank permits you to have them

    I have 6 red leg hermits and 4 margarita snails. I'll look into emerald's. Thanks

    I am quite the expert of aiptasia. Two tanks full of it and I won!! Thank god for
    Aiptasia X!! That is a button polyp= KEEPER. On a side note, a Mythrax crab will munch down those bubble algae like nobodys business!

    It is not aiptasia. I have dealt with almost every type and size and shape of aiptasia. I agree browm button polyp.

    Be careful with emerald crabs. i have 3 in my tank (complete overkill) One was eaten when he was having trouble shedding. The other 2 ate all my button polyps and torch coral. That was after all the algae was gone. If your tank is big and has lots of algae, i wouldn't worry, but if you don't have algae because they ate it all, watch out of them picking at your coral, and once you see them do it, take them out! Once they've tasted it, they'll come back. Lol, just be careful.
