At first glance they appear to be some type of colonial polyp, am unsure which family/group though. Can you get a much closer photo of them?

I would say that it is a species of sponge. To put to rest any doubts, touch the animal in question and if it is a colonial polyp it will close up, if it. Especially where it is growing, under the rock in light reduced area I am more inclined to go with a sponge...Having a closer and better picture would help as well.
    Let us know.

Any way to get a better shot? The masses say sponge and they are probably correct. But I was not thinking sponge, looks like a hard coral with open polyps to me. I see them a lot when I dive the Caribbean. The look like tiny ½ tubes all clustered together with a little anemone like head poking out of them. At least that’s what I thought of when I looked at the picture.
