    I wouldn't worry about them.

    Nope, that's a cleanurus magneticus.

    ;D

Do you mean the little brown smudge next to it? I can't see it very well, but to me it looks like it could be an ordinary little flatworm. I have some of those and freaked out a little bit because there are bad flatworms, but my kind doesn't hurt anything.

I've seen flat worms take over a tank. They were the little red ones, those things were just everywhere! The entire substrate was red!

I believe you are referring to "Red Planaria" flatworms and they can be NASTY like you said - taking over entire tanks.

The other flatworms I would have to agree do not seem to be harmful and they are nutrient dependent in their population. If you have a ton of them that means there is enough food/waste in your tank to support that population. Clean up the system and you should see them decrease in numbers.

I also have some of the FW's you pictured and they do not seem to harm anything. They even survived Salifert FW Exit treatment. To date I have not seen them on any coral or harming any tank inhabitants.

Mine survived FW exit as well, but haven't done anything negative to the tank or inhabitants.

Kind of like how a lot of people view all bristleworms as bad when it's all about perception and misinformation.
