    very close but not technically a monti... still people sometimes mistake these two
    If you saw a larger piece or colony structure you could guess right away

    Yeah it's a porites!
    So it's purple base, red polyps, and silver tips the whole way around the polyp!

    Now isn't that awesome!!?
