loose mushroom

    just bought a loose one (it's not on a rock) how would i place it in the tank?

    on a rock on the sand (dont have super glue)

    if it matters it's a green mushroom (thats what the lfs said )

    Get something like a teacup and put sand in it, put the mushroom in it and cover it with some mesh and put it in the tank. After a few days it will have sand attached to the bottom of it and you can super glue that to a rock. Just get some super glue from the store its like $1.

    LOL I've never had a loose mushroom attach to the cup. You could try a rock in the cup but you'd be better off with sand IMO. If you did the rock in a cup you may as well just rubber band it to the rock and skip the cup. But fair warning, those things are SLIPPERY! :)

    Sure if you have no flow. But that's a different thread altogether.... :) It will be the same concept in that it'll attach to the sand and you can tend to it from there.

    mushrooms will often move to where they like it. If you have a low flow zone in your tank just stick him in a rock crevas and most likly take hold. You could also try rubberbands and or fishing line.
