So I lost my McKoskers wrasse a couple of days ago. He jumped. I have a screen, but it is pointless until I hook up my sump. So let's not go there on this.

My real question is, I've been eyeing an Eilbli angel at my LFS. It looks great and has been there a couple of weeks. Anybody have experience with this one in particular? I don't have sessile inverts or clams.

Sorry to hear about you fish dowtish. I always liked the Eilbli angels as well. I don't have experience with the though. FWIW, I've heard they are a bit more likely to nip than some other dwarf angles though.

I love Eilbli angels. They are so pretty and not very common. If he's eating great at the LFS, then that is a big plus. One of the hardest things about bringing home an angel is getting it to eat in your tank.

I have read they are more likely to nip coral and clams, but I see you don't have any clams. You'll just have to decide if it's a risk you want to take or not, with regards to your coral. If you keep the angel fed really well, it will be less likely to be hungry and want to eat on coral. Keep nori in there all the time for his foraging needs as well.

A lot depends on the size of your tank. This is one very active fish. Very territorial, and bossy. Best suited for larger tanks. As with most Pygmy angles they are unpredictable!
