    I returned home from an overnight trip, and after kissing the dog and hugging the kids, I looked at the tank.
    THREE Florida ricordia are missing. They had been in a small clump for weeks/months and have simply disappeared. :eek:
    I know the water flow pattern, so I follow the 'escape route' they would have taken.
    No good.
    I check the overflow, the filter sock, turn off all power and climb up to stare in from the top,-no ricordia.
    I've must have spent thirty minutes trying to figure out where they went, and I can't see any trace!
    (There isn't enough rock in the tank for them to become invisible)
    Anybody ever had this happen, -corals simply disappear in the space of two days?

    I'v had mushrooms move into the smallest spaces. Take some pictures and we can start an I Spy.

    It must be aliens!

    I think they should put pictures of missing 'shrooms on milk cartons. It might help in their recovery.

    But there's nothing in the tank big enough to EAT them, and they can't go carpet surfing. It takes longer than two days for a dead thing to decompose...
    They MUST be somewhere!

    It doesnt take long for them melt when something goes wrong. If they have been in the same spot for months, more then likly current didnt move them. Either a critter moved them/ate them or they melted.

    what types of fish and inverts do you have in there? ive heard of a few fish with a taste for meaty things, but mushrooms generally are very foul tasting to alot of fish...at least thats what ive been told.

    Mostly vegetarians ::)
    Foxface, ocellis clowns, sebae clowns, regal tang, yellow tang, and PJ cardinals. they have all been friends from the beginning (NO new entries).

    Nothing large enough to eat THREE medium sized rics in two days! The 'shrooms have been in for several months, on was just completing a split into two. Everything has been in the tank since they were added:confused:

    or they could have moved, mushrooms can move pretty fast if there being bothered by any inhabitants.
