    It was several years ago, but I lost my Harlequin Tusk the same way. Went out of town and the person feeding my fish forgot to close the top. Came home to find him stuck to the carpet.

    usually if you have a fish that jumps that isnt normally a jumper then there are mostlikely other underlying problems with water quality and such. or aggression.

    Sorry to hear you lost your Tusk. It's my favorite fish, but 2 of them have jumped on me (1 in my DT while i was on vacation and the other in a QT through a 1" filter hole!). I was told they weren't jumpers either, but learned my lesson... :(

    water is perfect as for aggression i dont think so never seen any probs now that ive been looking more it seems that they are jumpers :(

    ok the guy at the store i got him from was super sweet and gave me a brake on another tusk :) hes doing well and needless to say i have a cover on the tank now or more like a grate
