    I wont be fully stocked for a long time so do you think is fine if I wait and get the skimmer later? I dont really have the money right now. :/

    You should be ok,it all depends on your bio load and if you keep up on water changes.Corailline runs her tank without a skimmer and keeps a mixed reef with some pretty nice sps corals,I do run a skimmer,and have softies and lps,every tank is different,but yes it can be done without a skimmer.

    I'm getting one of these for my neighbor in a week or so. personally i would go with the LED setup. compacts are cheaper, but you are going to have to pay and replace them and the light doesn't look as nice. yes it cheaper to start. but not really worth the sacrafise. if you keep the tank for a few years and change the bulbs, it will cose you more in the long run.
