    yea, thats what i have done for now, i used the back strip of the glass lid and placed it on the center of tank and put the light on top. Will this be a good temporary fix until i'm able to get my new light

    for some strang reason you start to get moisture or salt build up around sockets and bulbs.... Then time to rethink the "temprorary fix"

    ok will do :D i'm hoping this light lasts because it's going to be a while until i can get my light as i still have a few things to get before the light and pay off some bills, so hopefully it will last a few months

    Doesn't seem like overly a lot of loss. I know when I had my 40, I would lose about 2 gallons of water a day.

    I think you need a sump that you can add an ATO to.. it would help immensely

    Like Packleader, I think the evap is around normal. I top off a gallon when I get home from work and a gallon before I leave for work on my 55.

    heck i have to fill tank every day about 1 or 2 gallons
