The only thing really incompatible is the leather coral. However, it's not aggressive as far as stinging goes. However, the chemical warfare toxins are a growth suppressor for SPS. A combination of utilizing a quality granular activated carbon (changed regularly) and water changes should allow them to co-exist peacefully.

The bubble coral and the SPS are incompatible flow-wise and you want to physically located them apart from each other. This is so you can fine tune the flow that goes to each coral and also to protect the SPS from the bubble's sweeper tentacles.

At the moment the sps are in complete opposite corners of the tank. sps top left back corner and my bubble coral is on the bottom right front corner of the tank. thanks for the heads up inwall

my next purchase is going to be two media reactors (TLF phosban reactor 150) to run rowaphos in one and carbon in the other. unless i can get away with one and use both types of media in one reactor.

do you folks think this will be enough for them to co-exist or should i get rid of the leather all together to encourage new growth of my sps?

i do have some sentimental attatchment to my leather, it was one of my first corals. but i wont let it get in the way of my new passion for sps.
