Loud commericals.

Finally a bill to make commercials volume no louder than the show you're watching.
House OKs bill to lower the volume on loud TV commercials -

 

IMO thats a waste of time when they can be doing more important things.. but not complaining that much lol

 

Yeah right, by the time it's out of congress it'll limit them to twice as loud, mandate show volume reduction... darnit all I just stepped into a political thread. Those aren't allowed

Well... I'm really happy about it. Tired of turning the volume up and down during commercials. Just like I was tired of telemarketers calling my phone before the do not call list.

 

That is good news. We were just complaining about this a few nights ago. It's gotton worse.....

 

wow, people have really complained about it that much? i remember the Billy Mays*i think that was his last name* comercials would come on it would always be louder, unless it was just because he was practially screaming like he always did in every comercial.

It's not weird. The FCC is controlled by Congress so if there is a new rule regarding TV it's going to come directly from them or indirectly through Congress. I for one say, IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!! I have less than stellar hearing so I really crank up the volume to begin with and then when a commercial comes on, it can wake my room mate in the other room....even with the door closed.

 

I am very happy to hear that. I hate the loud commercials.

Actually, my Fiance and I always mute the TV on commercials (except for superbowl ads). I wish they made TV's with the auto mute commercials that magnavox or whatever had years ago.

 

whats toshiba gonna do now? they just came out with a tv , that automatically reduces the sound when its louder than your original listening volume. and here i thought they made them louder so we could here them way up here. . bravo for your fcc.
