    Nice, Toshiba makes this now?
    But yeah, it looks like they used the technology to do this when the FCC will make all the commercials the same volume as the programs.

    My receiver auto-levels sound automatically. At least, it's supposed to. I can't get it working right. I typically record programs and fast forward through commercials anyhow using my DVR but this will be nice for those times I watch live TV.

    true, although i do love it how my favorite hbo series doesnt havent have commerials, but we do pay for hbo, so i guess it would suck to have to pay for regular tv

    I would gladly pay for TV to get rid of commercials. OH wait, I pay for cable anyhow, and still have to watch commercials. I record and fast forward as much as I can. Annoying as <expletive deleted>.

    o.m.g.... i always thought it was just my tv or cable that the commercials are 20x louder than the show. Great to see somethings being done :)
