I have 2 pumps hooked up to my return, one 340 gph and one 400 gph. I redid my plumbing so theres less angles and i did that and plumbed it and had that in mind. After finishing that configuration, i wanted to split the return into 2 so i did that. Its now running 24 hours later. Before the system was extremely quiet and just about the only sound i could hear was the koralia spinning. Now with the flow increased apparently (i thought the t pipe to split the line in 2 would slow it down) the overflow is loud as hell and the sump got louder when pouring into my filter sock. Any way to fix this? its in my room :( i have a cpr overflow with aqualifter - 600 gph. Any suggestions?

have you messed with the tube that goes into the bulkhead ? moving it up and down untill you get a nice quiet overflow ?

you can build a gurgle buster

or you can fold a towel in half a couple times and put it over the overflow box :)

Unless you have a siphon moving more water through the same plumbing will probably make it louder. You can try limiting some of the chaotic water movement in the plumbing but it will probably always be louder than before.
You could try putting a gate valve on the return line to dial it back.
